Lora is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from the Medical College of Virginia. She has worked as a registered nurse; been a small business owner and creator of Toothfairy Designs, a line of keepsake jewelry; and has also held several political positions. Lora has served in many volunteer capacities in the community and has been very involved in her church.  In appreciation for her role in protecting the children of Shelby County, Lora was the 2007 recipient of the James G. Hughes Community Advocate Award from the Memphis Child Advocacy Center.  She has three adult children and two granddaughters.

Barbara has a PhD in Counseling and Human Systems with a concentration in Marriage and Family Counseling from The Florida State University. She has operated a private counseling practice for over 25 years and  was an associate at a Christian counseling center for seven years. She does individual, pre-marriage and marriage counseling and has conducted seminars around marriage and family issues at local churches and organizations. Barbara and her husband have their own consulting firm where she helps organizations with strategic planning, team building and communication.  She is on the Boards of several community organizations and educational institutions.  She and her husband of 29 years have two adult children.
